The next sales auction is scheduled for Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday, 28th September and the Munster track has proved a successful hunting ground for many buyers in recent times.
May 11th was the last sales held at Limerick and Dawncourt Derby, now called Totilas, posted an estimate of 28.99 in his trial and was subsequently sold for €2,000. Since then, the August son of Droopys Sydney and Clonbrien Millie, who incidentally is the dam of a certain Clonbrien Treaty, landed a valuable Dual-Distance stake at Shelbourne Park and also won his novice 750 outing last Saturday night at Limerick.
Sombra was another that graced the same catalog in May and the hammer dropped at €3,000 for the September 22’ daughter of Broadstrand Bono and Droopys Lullaby. Posting a rapid estimate of 28.83 on sales day, fast-forward to the start of August and she flew around Tralee to post an open class 28.57. As we speak, she is currently contesting the semi finals of the 2024 Roma Casino Irish Cambridgeshire Open 750 where she will come against the great Tuono Charlie this Saturday night.
Given that some strong trackers are emerging from the sales in Limerick, it seems an apt time to promote the upcoming auction at the Dock Road venue, so please reach out to the racing office on 085 8797575 if you have a possible entry.
