How could we forget about Newinn Taylor and Quarter To Five?
We spoke of winning sequences earlier in the week and mentioned the likes of Milldean Panther and Killahan Phanter, who commenced their racing career with an impressive winning run. The former won twelve on the spin, while Killahan Phanter won eleven-straight.
TAYLOR WITH A SENSATIONAL START
Newinn Taylor also made an exceptional start to his incredible career.
The subsequent Derby champion began his journey to superstardom in early November 2019 and proceeded to win twelve-straight. It was a sequence that saw him capture both the National Puppy Stake at Shelbourne and the Produce Stakes at Clonmel.
Of course, it wasn’t the only notable sequence of his career. He would win four-straight to race to Derby glory for Simon Taylor and Graham Holland in September 2020.
QUARTER TO FIVE A MAJESTIC SPRINTER
Quarter To Five was one of the truly greatest sprinters of all time.
She was a star through 1999 and 2000. Through her career, the sensational daughter of Boyne Walk won a remarkable 42 out of her 45 sprint outings.
She also held numerous track records at various tracks around the country. She also held a couple of National records, while the most remarkable feat of her career was winning thirteen consecutive sprint competitions. Given her prolific win record, it is no surprise she built a winning sequence of ten straight plus on more than one occasion.
