GARRISON DUNDEE put on a classy performance to win the feature at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday night, the €1,850 to the winner MCP Group Tri Distance Stakes Final.
Owned by Richard Gentleman, the 3-1 shot didn't produce the quickest of starts; however, the October puppy displayed impressive early speed, and he took up the running soon after the opening corner. Pulling away on the back straight, the rapidly improving youngster went on to land the spoils, a length clear of the running on Restless Fury, in 31.06. (570). A superb winning display, and given his recent efforts, he is a lovely talent going forward.

GUILFOYLE PAIR IMPRESS
Sallagh Larry, trained by Patrick Guilfoyne for owner K Allsop delivered a stunning performance to win the €800 MCP Group A1 Stake Final. Driving a great opening two corners to lead, the October puppy showed big gears on the back straight. Steeple Rd Amber ran a cracker in second, a length behind the winner.
In the €800 MCP Group A0 Final, Daleroad Devon scored for trainer Patrick Guilfoyle and owner Thomas O'Keeffe. Just winning the all-important early lead, the 6-4 favourite kicked for home on the back straight, pulling a couple of lengths clear to halfway. Trionas Tribe kept the winner honest throughout with a length and a half the difference, in 28.44.
LEE STRAND WINNER DOES IT AGAIN
Elsewhere on the card, the winning performance of Headleys Trump in the MCP Group AA0 525 is worth a mention. Owned by Nick E Cotter, the talented tracker won the recent Lee Strand, and he performed well in the opening round of the Derby. Producing a flying 2.99 sectional to lead, the 6-4 favourite clocked top class early sectionals to pull a couple of lengths clear of Daleroad Mya to halfway. Strong up front, the impressive winner stayed on well to beat the Daleroad runner by five and a half lengths, in 28.23.
