Graham Holland sent over a team of two for the Empress Stakes at Towcester and both impressed at the Northamptonshire venue on Sunday afternoon finishing first and second in Heat 2.

Not only did Silverhill Freya oblige at odds of 4-7, making every inch, but she also set the standard with a blistering 28.71 return.

Bocko Sapphire ran a huge race behind her in second. They were the only qualifiers in the six heats to break the 29 second barrier and one suspects they will take up a lofty position on the ante-post market when it is reformed in the coming hours.

Certainly, if the pair continue to perform at this level, it’s is very likely Graham Holland will be claiming another big prize across the water in the coming weeks.
