BANTER BOOST, trained by Owen McKenna for Peadar O’Dwyer and Sarah O’Dwyer, set the standard in the opening round of the €5,000 to winner Deise Plastering Novice 730 at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night.

Sent off the well fancied 1-2 favourite, the impressive winner was out the back early but he really hit top gear when hitting the winning line with a lap to go.

Taking control on the turns for home and he galloped clear to win easily. A 40.98 winning run, six and a half lengths clear of Sunset Shannon.

    EXPLODED FROM TRAPS

Trained by Michael Meade for Mary Walsh, Rapido Bob put on a brilliant front running winning performance in heat three.

The 2-1 winner exploded from traps and he was soon nicely clear. In truth, the outcome was never in any doubt. All one way traffic up front, it was a convincing winning effort, clocking 41.27, seven lengths clear of Lemon Dot.
