BILL MULHOLLAND

It’s with sadness we must report the passing of Bill Mulholland, Groomsport, Co Down, in recent days.

Bill was a dedicated greyhound man for many, many years and always kept his finger on the pulse.

In recent years, he got a great thrill as an owner with Rathdown Molly providing him with great entertainment. During a stellar racing career, she would reach the final of the National Puppy Stake, the Irish Sprint Cup and run-up the 2023 Tote Gold Cup at Shelbourne Park.

But the thrill that Bill got from his star winning the 2023 Christmas Oaks was unmatched. Bill didn’t get to the track very often to see his star but he rarely missed one of her races, watching from home, and often sent on his delight.

He leaves behind him a loving family and wide circle of friends. We would like to take this opportunity to send on our sincerest condolences to his wife Margaret, sons William, Mark, Philip and Michael, daughters Jacqueline and Pamela, his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, his extended family and many friends.

Funeral Details

2nd June 2025. Peacefully at home. Late of Donaghadee Road, Groomsport. Beloved husband of Margaret. Much loved dad of William, Jacqueline, Mark, Pamela, Phillip, Michael and the late Paul. Loving grandfather to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Service in S. Clarke and Son’s Funeral Church, Bangor, on Saturday 7th June 2025 at 12.00 noon. Funeral afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium.
