CALLAWAY PRO-AM AT STUD ANNOUNCED AS TITLE SPONSOR FOR THE IRISH ST. LEGER AT LIMERICK GREYHOUND STADIUM.

    Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) is delighted to announce that the 2025 Irish St. Leger, one of Irish greyhound racing’s most prestigious and historic competition, will take place at Limerick Greyhound Stadium, with a new title sponsors thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Murphy family.

    The Callaway Pro-Am at Stud Irish St. Leger will kick off with the first round on Saturday, 19th July, culminating in a what is anticipated to be a

    thrilling final on Saturday, 9th August. The classic 550-yard event is open to AAO grade greyhounds, with the winner set to claim an impressive €30,000 prize. The trap draw will be held on Tuesday, 15th July at 11am.

    A cornerstone of Irish greyhound sport, the St. Leger was inaugurated in 1932 at Celtic Park, Belfast. Initially rotated among prominent tracks including Clonmel, Shelbourne Park, and Harold’s Cross, the race found its permanent home at Markets Field in Limerick in 1944. Today, it continues its proud legacy at the modern Limerick Greyhound Stadium on the Dock Road, drawing top-class competitors and enthusiasts from across Ireland.
