The TIME Greyhound Nutrition A1 Cork Cup gets underway at Curraheen Park tonight and it’s expected to produce some top-quality racing.
In heat three, all eyes will be on the powerful running Da Tapper Flynn.
Trained by Pat Kiely for the Golden Spoon Syndicate, the selection has plenty of top-class recent form in the book. The drop down into A1 company is a big help and from the rails pitch, he should take a great deal of stopping. With a clear run, he should prove far too strong.
Trained by Pat Norris for Mark Lowther, Made No Measure is next best. He ran well in the Laurels around course and distance; however, he should improve plenty for his comeback outing.
In heat number four, Ballycowen Archy stands out for trainer Dean Harpur. Last week’s comeback outing should leave him spot on for this and the big early pacer is expected to make every yard of the running. The best is yet to come from this youngster and the well-bred puppy is the one to beat.
It promises to be a great event over the next couple of weeks as it kick starts the year at Curraheen Park.
