DEFENDING CHAMPION ROAD EXILE GOES QUICK IN SUPERSPRINT

    Defending Champion ROAD EXILE (Droopys Sydney-Trusted Exile) delivered a fantastic performance in the opening round of the €5,000 to the winner Two Wheel Training Supersprint at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

    Trained by Pat Buckley for owner R.A.Cowell, the star performer recorded career win number 32 in stunning fashion. The 4-5 favourite produced one of his best starts, soon in front, he flew around the opening turns in top gear. Pulling further and further clear, he ran out a most impressive winner, clocking a fabulous 17.36, five and a half lengths clear of Satin Milo.

    In heat number two, Born Racer (Ballymac Anton-Whitings Gift) returned to top form when clocking 17.54 for trainer Jennifer O'Donnell. Owned by John Mitchell, the 2-1 shot drove an outstanding bend to slip around in front. 

    From here, it was all one-way traffic upfront. Galloping strongly to the winning line, Born Racer came home with seven lengths to spare over Lonesome Pete, in 17.54.

    The opening heat went the way of Joes Wink (Broadstrand Bono-Devon Honey) for trainer Ray Fleming. Owned by Margaret Lynch, the 2-1 winner put on a fine front-running winning performance. Always in control up front, Joes Wink bounced back to top form, scoring in 17.73, five lengths clear of Hand Crafted.

    O'NEILL DOUBLE

    In the closing race, an AA0 575, Ballyhooly Bruno (Jacob Tashadelek-Foyle Lucy) put on a magnificent performance. Trained by Tom O'Neill for the Ashgrove Trio Syndicate, the 5-4 favourite led early, displaying massive gears up front, he pulled clear to win in superb style. A top class 30.69 winning run, nine lengths clear of Mister Myles.

    O'Neill also won the previous race as Clonmore Alice (Droopys Sydney-Droopys Alice) returned to top form for owners Breda and Cian Moloney. In front at the opening corner, the even-money favourite shot clear down the back straight and the race was always in safe keeping. A fantastic run, posting 28.52 and five lengths clear of the fast-finishing Aherla Rocco.

    IN OTHER RACES

    In the fourth, an A3, Oll The Doll (Droopys Sydney-Glowing Exile) ran out a classy winner for Andy Lynch. The June youngster was dropping down a lot in class and she made no mistakes with a brilliant 28.52 winning performance. Six and a half lengths back to Why Eunice in second place.

    In the following race, an A1 550, Parkview Sprite (Magic Sprite-Aghaburren Model) came home in front for trainer Kieran Lynch and owners John Quinn and John Maher. The 3-1 winner just made the corner in front, showing plenty of speed on the back straight, and the talented winner stayed on well to beat Millridge Jayden, by four and a half lengths, in 29.95.
