DOWLING HAS A STRONG HAND IN THE KINGDOM DERBY

Barry Drake

The Eric Browne Memorial Kingdom Derby is always a huge attraction at this time of the year and it gets underway tonight with three fantastic opening round heats.

In heat one, all eyes will be on Solo And Go for trainer Liam Dowling and owners the Kingdoms Palace Syndicate. The selection so well in the recent Laurels at Curraheen Park and he has the early pace to bounce out in front and make every yard of the running.

It should be a good night for the Dowling team as Ballymac Tibet gets the nod in the second heat. The selection has bundles of speed and with a half decent start in this, he should prove a class apart and land the spoils.

In the third and final heat, Crossfield Matt is the pick for Brendan O’Shea. The talented performer has some fancy runs in the book and from the inside of the track, a big run is expected.
