Trainer ADAM DUNFORD stole the show at Youghal Greyhound Stadium on Wednesday night, landing a fantastic treble on the night.
In race five, an A2/A3, Fantasy Abbie (2) (Jacktavern Gem-Tory Abbie) was quickest on the clock when clocking a top-class 28.92. On just her second career outing, the November puppy, a well-backed 4-5 favourite, took up the running after a couple of strides, and from here, she quickly took total control.
Powering down the back straight in front, the impressive winner pulled further and further clear. This lady has a big future ahead, and she came home 12 and a half lengths clear of Burgess Speedy.
Trainer Adam Dunford pictured right with Dangan Conor after winning in Youghal on Wednesday night. The young trainer enjoyed a great treble on the night.
Dangan Conor (Confident Rankin-Ardera Love) made a quick double for Dunford when winning the sixth, an A3-A4, for owners Michael and Carmel Croke. The 4-6 favourite came away racing from trap three to lead, and the quick-starting winner went on to record a 23rd career success.
Chaotic Comet looked a danger on the turns for home; however, the winner found that bit more to win, in 29.56. Three lengths the margin.
It was three on the night after Madams Dream (Jacktavern Gem-Newinn Madam) landed race seven, an A1-A2, for owner Thomas Condon.
The 4-5 favourite led early from trap one, catching the eye on the back straight, the impressive winner always had the race in safe keeping. The September puppy made the most of the drop in class, clocking 29.35, three lengths clear of Rallying Molly.
JACKTAVERN GEM
It's worth mentioning that two of the three winners are by the sire Jacktavern Gem.
He looked like a superstar in the making when clocking an estimated 28.44 on debut around Kilkenny.
He is producing some really nice sorts, which include another one that Dunford trains, Fantasy Adam, who recently won in 28.45 and 28.47 around Curraheen Park. A really impressive showing from a handful of litters.
