EDWARD LEADING A KIRBY TEAM FOR DOLORES

When Razldazl Edward ran out an impressive winner of the Gold Collar at Shelbourne Park in the first week of 2025, it was clear he was on a seriously upward curve with better to come.

Emerging a seven and a half-length winner in 29.78 (rated. 20 slow) for the 550yd trip, it was clear he had the potential to go on to much bigger things.

His owner, trainer, breeder Dolores Ruth obviously feels the same way as he is to be targeted at the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial at Limerick and recent trial evidence suggests he could be a major player.

In his first look at Limerick less than a fortnight ago, he recorded a sizzling 18.25 for the sprint trip before dipping under the magical 28 second barrier in a 525yd trial last weekend. With 4.12 and 15.85 sectionals, he sent out a clear and pretty emphatic warning that he will be a force in the incredibly valuable Kirby Memorial.

Dolores has also suggested he won’t be on his own in the van down to Limerick. In fact, Dolores is planning on sending a six-strong team including the promising Razldazl Myway, Razldazl Kamaria, Razldazl Beau, Razldazl Runway and Razldazl Bennetti.

We haven’t seen the best of some of those named just yet but, if Dolores is sending them, it’s safe to expect them to improve greatly in the coming weeks.
