FIRE ODDS ON FOR CHRISTMAS OAKS GLORY

Magical On Fire has yet to win a round of the Bernard Barry Christmas Oaks but she has been installed a hot favourite to land Saturday decider with BOYLE Sports introducing her as their 10-11 favourite to land the €15,000 prize.

Pat Guilfoyle’s Laurels champion has been showing all sorts of pace in defeat and has been handed a relatively kind draw in the decider. If finding a fast start, she should turn close to the pace.

2024 Oaks winner and Bitch of the Year A Lucky Julie is next in. Jerry Melia’s charge recently returned from a layoff but two quick wins highlight her well-being. As the sole wide seed, she has an ideal draw in the stripes and won’t be shy of support at a generous looking 3-1.

Singalong Polly is third choice in the market at 5-1, although she will need the gaps to open at the right time. Rural Ana is perhaps a touch generous at 6-1. She stormed home to impress in her semi-final and certainly represents value, while Magical Hope and Aghadown Flight complete the line up at 10-1 and 14-1 respectively.
