FRANK McDAID

The death took place in recent days of a real gentleman and huge greyhound enthusiast in the Northwest, Frank McDaid.

Frank was a permanent fixture at the old Lifford track where he worked as a judge, and continued to grace the track up until the last couple of years. Aside from the track, Frank also enjoyed attending his local coursing meeting at East Donegal and everyone at Greyhound Racing Ireland would like to pass on their condolences to Frank’s friends and family.

The death has taken place, April 9th 2026, at his home of Frank Mc Daid.

40 Ashgrove Park, Strabane and formerly of Castlederg.

Beloved husband of Patricia, much loved father of Patrick (Nuala) Peter (Debbie), Margaret (Martin) and Eilish (John) and brother of Brian and Kitty.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother, sister, and family circle.
