Ian Fortune
You got the sense there was a big run ready to emerge from Razldazl Kamaria and he chose Friday night to produce it as he posted a brilliant fastest of the round 28.86 (rated .50 slow) in tough conditions in the semi-finals of the Dublin Cup.
Dolores Ruth’s son of Ballymac Best and Boylesportstwink was in electric form, shooting from five to quickly establish complete control. Odds-on favourite Skidrow Joe was soon second but he would never get close enough to land a telling blow and faded home to fall further back.
Instead, Knockmitten Liam ran on strongly to take second but Razldazl Kamaria was in a league of his own. On a track rated half a second slow, the February ’23 whelp would go on to win by three and a half lengths from Knockmitten Liam with Skidrow Joe progressing in third, a further length and as half adrift.
FREE IN FULL FLOW AGAIN
Free Flow also emerged an impressive winner, taking over at the third turn before powering clear to win the second semi-final in comfortable fashion.
Gallant Hunter and Free Flow both broke smartly and quickly moved on from their rivals.
Gallant Hunter would take up the running on the inside of the track but he was always a sitting duck with Free Flow proving in recent weeks that she is very strong. As expected, she drew closer down the back straight before taking charge on the third turn.
Trained by Francie Murray for his son Francis, the daughter of Ballymac Bolger and Great Intentions coasted home a two and a half length winner in 29.08 (.50 slow). Highview Daniel ran on well to take second with Gallant Hunter earning his place in the decider, a further two lengths adrift in third.

BAD DREAMS IS SHARPEST
The semi finals of the Gizmo Cash @ Stud ON2 525 allowed both Bad Dreams and Lombardy open their account with early speed proving the difference.
Bad Dreams was picked up late in the opening round but ran right to the line on this occasion.
Drawn in the stripes in the opening heat, the son of Ballymac Cashout and Beamingboomerang displayed fine early speed n the outside of the track to assert into the bend. Microchip moved second at this point but he could never get close enough.
There was quite a battle for second spot with No Doubt staying on welt io dead-heat with Microchip but Declan Beary’s Bad Dreams would go on to score by three and a half lengths in 29.82 (rated .50 slow).
LOMBARDY TOO QUICK FOR RIVALS
Lombardy went faster in the second heat, getting loose from his inside draw to win by four lengths for Marie Gilbert and owner Aidan Comerford.
Charging into the turn on the fence, he quickly asserted and never looked under a moment’s pressure.
The son of Coolavanny Hoffa and Palermo would go on to dominate throughout to beat Razldazl Beau in 29.49. Roseville Bale was a further length and a half adrift in third.
LISK IS RAPID IN EARLY YARDS
