LAUNCH OF TRACES NT EXPORT DOCUMENTATION SYSTEM

TRACES is the European Commissions Electronic Platform used in the Import and Export of amongst other things, animals. In its guise as TRACES Classic, it has been used for several years by Irish Individuals and companies exporting animals abroad. These have typically included individuals who undertake transporting greyhounds abroad for export.
From October 1st, 2021, a new platform called TRACES NT went live. However, TRACES Classic (its predecessor) remains active until October 16th, 2021, to allow a gradual transfer of use onto the new system.
For those who are currently using TRACES Classic, re-registration on TRACES NT, as it is a standalone system, is required. Rasaíocht Con Eireann (RCE) has been in ongoing contact with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to arrange training on this new system and have communicated this to many of the individuals who currently use TRACES in transporting of dogs for export.
