Lee Craze has another potential star to look forward to after his latest recruit Lennies Eddie produced a massive run to open his account at Dundalk on Friday night, posting a rapid 21.04 despite his inexperience.
The well-bred son of Good Cody and Portumna Marina carried on no luck on debut at Cork earlier this month but looked a star in the making on this occasion. Going to the front early over the 400yd trip, the Paul Hennessy trained youngster hit the corner a length and a half to the good before driving further and further clear.
Pharis Syd did run extremely wide off the second turn but Lennies Eddie was already on his way to a facile success. He would eventually hit the line nine lengths clear.
The winner happens to be a half brother to another Paul Hennessy trained star, Dynamic Force and seems to have many similar qualities. Where he goes next is anyone’s guess but his handler won’t be in a rush. Given his youth – he is an April ’24 whelp – he will be given plenty of time to find his feet but needless to say he will have some big targets in 2026.
