Paul Hennessy trialled a team of four at Towcester yesterday afternoon with a view to challenging for both the upcoming Maiden Derby and English Derby at the Northamptonshire venue.
Of the quartet, none went faster than Lennies Desire. The hugely promising son of Signet Ace is set to line out in the Maiden Derby and he moved well throughout before stopping the clock in 28.99 off a 4.12 opening sectional.
Next fastest was Juvenile Derby finalist Hello Diego. He too is eligible for the Maiden Derby and posted 29.07. He steered a middle to wide path throughout but ran right to the line, while also making a flying start, dipping under the 4 second mark with a 3.98 sectional.
After impressing at Limerick at the weekend, Boylesports Blue posted 29.09 (4.13 sectional) in his trial, while Barefoot On Fire was the other Hennessy trained runner to have a spin. He clocked 29.28 off 4.12.
