MAYFLOWER SETS SAIL AT ENNISCORTHY

Mayflower Sienna was the undoubted star in the opening round of the TIME Greyhound Nutrition Open Unraced at Enniscorthy on Monday night.

The Anton Butler trained daughter of Ballymac Cashout and Vinegarhill Toni was in a league of her own in the opening heat.

Owned by the Mayflower Syndicate, the November ’22 whelp broke smartly from three and was soon on control. Pulling further and further clear down the back straight, she would eventually see off Mulrankin Rex by twelve lengths in 29.04.

PIMPLE SHOWS PLENTY OF PACE

There was plenty to like about the display of Kereight Pimple in Heat 2.

Aidan Denton’s son of Broadstrand Bono and Right So Belle missed the kick but flew into the turn only to take a hefty bump.

He quickly recovered, however, showing superb pace to move to the front before halfway. Charging into the third turn, Kereight Pimple eased on to eventually coast to a comfortable six and a half length success over Ballinabola Jen in 29.49.

LOLA LOOKS PROMISING

Foxy Lola was a good winner of the final heat or Cora Doyle and Pat McMahon.

The very young daughter of Dromana Bucko and Flying Lola disputed second into the turn before moving upsides Pups Star at the second bend.

Once straightening up, Foxy Lola eased on to put the result beyond doubt. Mulrankin Wild stayed on to take second spot but had no answer to Foxy Lola who emerged a two and a half length verdict in 29.46.
