The importance of the greyhound sales in Ireland was once again highlighted tonight at Mullingar with the success of Folkscourt Cody in the final of the A2/A3 Kilbride Kennels Midlands Derby for Tullamore owner Niall Deegan.

A recent purchase at the August 2025 sales in Kilkenny for just €1,800, Foulkscourt Cody has continued to progress rapidly for his new connections. The talented greyhound had already advertised his ability in recent weeks when reaching the final of the prestigious Dublin Cup, finishing a highly creditable third behind Highview Dynasty. 

His success on Saturday in the Kilbride Kennels Midlands Derby is a perfect example of the value that can be found at the Irish greyhound sales, where astute buyers are regularly rewarded with top-class performers at very reasonable prices.

Congratulations go to his new connections, including Niall Deegan, on a fantastic success and what looks a very shrewd purchase.
