MOORSTOWN BRETT IMPRESSIVE WHEN WINNING KINGDOM FEATURE

    Barry Drake

Sponsored by the Dowling family, MOORSTOWN BRETT impressed when winning the €2,600 to the winner John & Mary Killeacle Dowling Memorial A1 570 Final at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday night.

Owner Joseph O’Flaherty was doubly represented in the final but it was Brett who was best on the night. The 8-1 winner came away racing and he was in a fantastic early battle with Ballymac Boa.

Getting the better of that argument on the run to the second last corner, the strong running tracker then stayed on powerfully to land the spoils. A 31.22 winning performance with two and a half lengths back to Kilcolgancatchme. A further short head back to Moorstown Knight in third place. (0.40slow)

    RETURNED TO TOP FORM
Elsewhere on the card, Daleroad Duke, trained by Patrick Guilfoyle for Thomas O’Keeffe, returned to top form when winning the €1,100 to the winner Ballymac Cooper @ Stud Stakes Final. The 6-4 favourite was in front at the opening corner and he displayed plenty of pace up front. A superb display, clocking 30.03 and coming home with four and a half lengths to spare over Ballymac Rapid.

    INFORM TRACKER
In the third, the Ballymac Cashout @ Stud 325. It was Earn Perks who delivered a stunning 17:46 winning performance. Owned by Thomas and Johnny O’Regan, the inform tracker put on another classy performance to land the spoils. Ballymac Jade a length and a half back in second.
It was a great night all round with additional prize money throughout the card which was kindly sponsored by the Dowling family.
