Kilara Moosh made the most of an ideal draw on the fence to run out a comfortable winer of the feature at Kilkenny on Friday night, the final of the Blackstone Kennels A2 525, landing a purse of €1,500 for owner Philip O’Keeffe and handler Michael Donnelly.

A well-bred daughter of Ballymac Cashout and Kilara Diamond, Kilara Moosh came away racing from her inside draw and was soon in charge, There was traffic at the tail of the field but it didn’t affect the new pace-setter.

Barefoot Awesome was left second on the turn but Ballybough Olwyn finished well to chase home Kilara Moosh. The latter would go on to win by two and a half lengths in 29.29, Ballybough Olwyn was second with Barefoot Awesome another four and a half lengths adrift in third.
