MURPHY FAMILY RENEW SPONSORSHIP OF ‘CLONBRIEN TREATY’ LIMERICK OAKS

Peter Farrell

For the second consecutive year at Limerick, the Murphy Family have kindly stepped in to sponsor the upcoming Limerick Oaks and entries are currently being invited for the event, which offers an increased first prize of €10,000.

Named once more as the ‘Clonbrien Treaty Limerick Oaks’, this year’s renewal will be run as an A1 event and the pool is expected to be strong given the huge €10,000 on offer to the winner, which is incidentally a €6,000 increase of the 2024 winner’s prize. Indeed, the last year’s decider was won by the exceptional Short Grip as she clocked 28.11 in seeing off Newport Pier and this is the perfect chance for the Country’s females to flex their muscles ahead of a potential tilt at the likes of the Sporting Press Online Edition Irish Oaks later in the year.

All at Limerick are extremely grateful for the continued support of the Murphy Family and owners and trainers should note that the racing office are currently taking offers.
