The ceremony, held at the Millennium Theatre, Technological University of the Shannon, Moylish Campus on Monday (April 22, 2024), marked a significant milestone in empowering young minds.

Rásaíocht Con Eireann support of this bursary initiative added a new dimension to the event, highlighting their commitment to fostering education and innovation. RCÉs involvement underscored the importance of collaboration in ensuring the success of educational endeavors.

Since its inception in 2014, the Leaders@TUS scholarship has transformed the lives of 150 students by providing access to higher education. With an investment exceeding €1.4 million from regional companies and private individuals, this initiative has been instrumental in breaking down barriers to education.

In a testament to its growing impact, this year's scholarship program was extended to the Athlone campus, ensuring that students across all TUS campuses could benefit from this invaluable support. This expansion reaffirmed the university's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in education.

At its core, the Leaders@TUS scholarship aims to facilitate access to higher education and empower students to overcome challenges on their educational journey. By recognising and supporting academic excellence, this initiative continues to shape the future of aspiring scholars, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
