SEVEN BEACH DELIVERS STUNNING TRACK RECORD RUN

The opening round of the Callaway Pro Am @ Stud Race Of Champions produced some fantastic racing at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday night which included two track record winning performances.

    TRACK RECORD
It all started in the opening semi final as Cheque For Cash put on a sensational winning effort for trainer Karol Ramsbottom and owners the Cash Back Syndicate.
The 2-1 favourite delivered a performance of the very highest order, flying from traps, the most impressive winner was in total control early doors. Storming clear down the back straight, Cheque For Cash maintained the powerful gallop throughout and he came home with three and a half lengths to spare over the fast finishing Kournikova, in a blistering 29.17, a new Track Record.

    TRACK RECORD AGAIN!
A recent winner of the Select Stakes at Kilcohan Park, Seven Beach, trained by Jennifer O’Donnell for owners The Beach Boys Trio Syndicate, went quicker again in the third and final heat and the 5-4 joint favourite clocked a sensational 29.15, two spots quicker than the record that was set in the opening heat.
The classy performer produced a dream start and he just had enough early speed to clear Ballymac Rapid. From there, it was all plain sailing. Displaying massive speed up front, Seven Beach cruised to five length success with Singalong Molly best of the rest.

    POWERFUL RUN
Trained by Owen McKenna for the Field Sports Syndicate, Callaway Knegare finished strongly to win the second heat. Jim By Two cut out the early running, but the 5-4 favourite shot along the inside to lead at the third corner and he pulled right away for a comfortable success. Dashing Toro kept on well for second, five lengths back.
