The €5,000 to the winner 1XBet Supersprint got off to a flying start at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
Stonepark Browne (Malachi-Coolavanny Ella) went quickest on the clock when winning the fourth and final heat. Trained by Michael O'Donovan for owner Michael Sean O'Dwyer, the even-money favourite produced a quick start, but it was Droopys Apollo who held a narrow lead heading around the opening corners. Stonepark Browne railed well on the home straight, and he powered home to beat Droopys Apollo, by three-quarters of a length, in 17.65. Three lengths back to De Bull in third place.
In the opening heat, Tiermana Dream (Ballyhimikin Jet-Tiermana Jetty) scored for trainer Colm Fitzgerlald and owners the Zero Zero Syndicate. The 2-1 winner displayed nice speed into the opening corners, and the in-form tracker kept on strongly on the home straight to complete three straight wins. Ballymac Stud was second a length behind the winner. Hackney Scout three-quarters of a length back in third.
Heat three went the way of the front-running Microchip (Droopys Sydney-Clona Skye) as the 3-1 winner bounced out in front to lead all the way. Strong up front, it was a likeable performance, clocking 17.75, two lengths clear of Solo And Go. The same distance back to Ballycowen Archy in third.
Sogna Ancora (Grangeview Ten-Terezas Mendoza) battled gamely to deny Portrush Ben in the second heat, winning for trainer Jack Kennelly and owners the Swedish House Party Syndicate. The even-money winner was locked in a battle with Portrush Ben throughout, and the 2025 Sprinter of the Year found that bit more late on, winning by a head in 18.05. A length and a half back to Ridgemount Sky in third.
In the opener, Ballycowen Daisy (Ballymac Cashout-Peckies Flyer) impressed when winning for trainer Dean Harpur. A member of a top-class litter, the Debbie Doyle-owned runner displayed big early speed to make all, in 28.55, at odds of 2-1.
