There’s a tremendous eleven-race card on offer at Newbridge this evening featuring numerous sweepstakes, including two finals.
In terms of monetary value, the semi-finals of the TIME Nutrition & NTSC A3 525 are the highlight but there is so much more to look forward to also.
TOPGIRL CAN LIVE UP TO HER NAME
MadaboutTopgirl is the one to beat in the final of the Christmas Party Nights A4 525.
A winner for Pauric Kelly in 29.03 in the semi-finals, the daughter of Ice On Fire has a bit in hand on her rivals on the clock and can land the €700 prize at the expense of Kilberry Flyer.
DUBH TO DASH CLEAR
Liam Kirley’s Glenlara Dubh set the standard in the semi-finals of the This Runs Deep A5/A6 and is likely to start favourite for tonight’s decider.
The lightly raced son of Dromana Bucko has a number of lengths in hand on the clock and can assert early to claim a second career victory.
A CHARDA LOOKS THE PART
Both semi-finals of the TIME Nutrition & NTSC A3 525 are competitive.
Vincent McKenna has his teamin tremendous form at present and his promising youngster A Charda is chosen to emerge on top in the opening heat.
A winner in 29.13 last week, he can improve further and is selected to lead home Robertstown Cruz and Swift Hazed.
GLOVES TO MAKE IT THREE STRAIGHT
The opening heat is even more competitive with many of those in the line-up capable of going close. Harrogatetownbaz was fastest of the six in the second round, leading late to win in 29.24. The veteran will again look to lead late but may be vulnerable to finding traffic in such an open contest.
Instead, it is perhaps best to stick with one of the more early-paced runners. That is why the nod goes to Pennys Gloves. Unbeaten in the competition, he again is a likely pace-setter from three and can lead home the aforementioned Harrowgatebaz and another big finisher, Mylerstown Nell.
