Some bright prospects were unveiled at Dundalk on Friday night. Chief amongst them was Rusty Tractor who posted a rapid 21.16 in the opening semi-final of the Track Supporters Club ON1 400. Although not the fastest into stride, he displayed fine pace into the bend to assert and proceeded to pull away for a five and a half length victory over Kiosk Keith in 21.16.

Minutes later, Boylesports Acca took the second heat for John Boyle and Brendan Matthews. The son of Pestana and Thisonesforyou was simply too sharp for his rivals, flashing from the outset box to dominate. He went on to see off Shelone Boss by five lengths in 21.34.

RAMBO GUNS DOWN MIKE

Also on the card was the final of the Track Supporters Club ON2 400 and it went the way of Gizmo Rambo as he got the better of Durty Mike.

The latter led into the bend but moved off the second turn, leaving a gap for Gizmo Rambo to take charge. Jamie Magee’s son of Dorotas Wildcat and Teena eased on to win by a length and a quarter in 21.58.
