Ice On Fire was the standout performer at Nottingham on Monday night as he again displayed all his many qualities in storming to a facile success in the semi finals of the Eclipse.

The Jimmy Fenwick trained star has already captured two grade one competitions this year and will now start a red-hot favourite for a third next Monday. This latest display was exceptional. Rocketing from trap four he left some talented rivals in his dust as he claimed a seventh win on the bounce.  

Despite coming back to his rivals in the latter stages, the son of Crash ran out a ready two length winner in a rapid 29.31. Forest Alan chased him into the decider.

The remaining heats went to Plaza Lep in 29.69 and Bramble Reggie in 29.71.
