UPDATE TO RACING SCHEDULE - JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2026

Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) wishes to advise owners and trainers of an adjustment to the national racing schedule for January and February.

This decision has been taken following a review of recent seasons and with a number of key considerations in mind:

  • - Inclement weather during the early months of the year has significantly disrupted the racing calendar in both 2024 and 2025, leading to unavoidable cancellations and reduced certainty for participants.
  • - The revised schedule will also provide a valuable break for greyhounds following what is traditionally a very busy Q4 racing programme.

By implementing these changes, RCÉ aims to ensure a more consistent and reliable racing calendar that supports both participants and the wider public.
