WONDERFUL DISPLAY FROM LEMON ORLA

LEMON ORLA, trained by Tom O’Neill for owners TJ Lyons and Noel Crowley, delivered the performance of the night at Curraheen Park on Saturday night when winning the €1,750 to the winner Ger Gubbins Construction A2 Final by a wide margin.

The 4-6 favourite was making it three straight wins and this was a performance of the highest order. Producing her quickest start along the inside of the track, she flew around the opening corners in front. 

Powering clear on the back straight, it was all one way traffic up front. Staying on strongly, the classy lady came home 11 and a half lengths clear of Satin Melody, in a career best time of 28.26. 

ELITE CONTRACTING SEMI FINALS

In the opening semi final of the Elite Contracting Open 575, Ballyhimikin Rex put on a fantastic winning effort for Billy and John Dunne.

In control most of the way, the 2-1 winner just held the big late run of the Da Tapper Flynn. A short head the margin in 30.94, with four and a half lengths back to Dashing Toro.

EARLY TROUBLE

In the second semi final, there was plenty of early trouble and Brogan Kite took full advantage to win for John and Marguerite O’Donoghue. 

The 7-1 outsider displayed plenty of pace and power to win, in 31.24. Thats It Jack was two and a half lengths back in second with the same distance back to Extra Gain in third place.

THREE STRAIGHT WINS

In the closing race, Ardrath Ali went quickest on the clock in the semi finals of the Curraheen Park Supporters Club A0 Stake. Trained by John Kiely for Richenda Kelly, the inform 2-1 winner was completing a wonderful hat trick go straight successes.

Showing stunning early speed, it was another outstanding front running winning run, in 28.68, two lengths clear of Cream Cracker. 

OPENING HEAT

In the opening heat, Our Dog Molly scored for trainer Tom O’Neill and owners the Boys From Bally Syndicate. 

The 4-1 chance came away racing to lead and she went on to beat Millridge Zara, by half a length, in 28.87. 

STRONG ALL ROUND DISPLAY 

In the final of the €1,200 to winner All Plast Engineering A5 Stake, Serenity Velvet put on a strong all round display to win for Tadgh McCarthy. The 3-1 shot finished with a flourish to land the spoils, in 29.19, a head clear of Quivers Drama.
