AMAZING POWER ON COURSE FOR A4 DEISE DERBY SUCCESS

AMAZING POWER (Signet Ace-Deelish Oreo), for the kennel of Michael Meade, made it three straight wins in the semi-finals of the W.G.O.B.A Guys & Dolls A4 Deise Derby at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night.

Breaking smartly from trap three, the short-priced 1-3 favourite just made the corner in front of Chapelstbruno. 

Displaying plenty of speed on the back straight to move a couple of lengths clear, the improving July '24 whelp stayed on nicely to complete the hat trick. Another improved effort on the clock, posting a career best of 28.60. Four and a half lengths back to the staying-on Rockmount Nico. A length back to Fagans Bianco in third.

In the second semi-final, Moonveen Tess (King Elvis-Airmount Jill) produced a fine front-running winning display from trap four to win for Judy Mackey. 

The 4-1 winner showed a lovely touch of early speed to easily win the all-important early lead. Three lengths clear of Nametab Sisu, the impressive winner was always in control up front. Last early, Almighty Elsa caught the eye late on, staying on powerfully for second, a length and a half behind the winner, in 29.20. Two lengths back to Nametab Sisu in third place.
