It’s official, entries for the 2026 BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby are currently being accepted. Indeed, the earlier you make your entries, the better.
A full breakdown of the Derby dates is detailed below but the two most important dates are August 7th and September 12th.
The Derby will commence on Friday, August 7th with the draw for the opening round taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 3rd. Of course, Derby final night is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th.
Those planning on running their star in the classic are reminded there are a number of valuable one-off opens advertised for Saturday week, August 1st. These could act as the ideal prep for the Derby. These races are also listed below.
