MONARCH REMAINS THE DERBY FAVOURITE

After a brilliant opening round effort when coming home clear in a joint fastest of the round 29.10, Bouncing Monarch has cemented his position at the head of the BOYLE Spirts Derby market with the Michael O’Donovan trained Kirby Memorial champion now just 5-1 to secure Derby glory.

In fact, he was originally cut to 6-1 by sponsors BOYLE Sports but sustained support saw them forced to cut him to 5s.

Ballymac Deniro is now the clear second choice in the betting after a superb Shelbourne Park debut. He displayed awesome pace and power to emerge a comfortable winer and is now just 8-1 to provide Liam Dowling with a long overdue second Derby success.

Lennies Dynamic was one of the most eye-catching greyhounds to suffer defeat in the opening round. In finishing a close second to Solo And Go he displayed another strong to his bow and his price has been cut to 14-1, clear third choice.

The brilliant duo of Waitingforastar and Ballycowen Frank sit together at 16-1, ahead of a talented group on 20-1 which includes Ballydoyle Tina, Im Here, Wi Can James, Ballymac Kamala, the well-backed Kapuka Coley, Lennies Eddie and impressive joint fastest opening round winner Sleight Of Hand. 

2024 Derby champion Bockos Diamond is available at 25-1, the same price as his kennel companion Bockos Gold, Solo And Go and Ballymac Gwennie.
