The draw for the 2026 Sporting Press Irish Oaks was made on Tuesday morning and while it didn’t quite fill, there is certainly no shortage of quality on show.

As you would expect, the entry is made up of established names and many young bitches in the early stages of their career.

And when they meet, it should make for fascinating viewing. Of course, there are classic winners amongst the entry with last year’s Laurels winner Magical On Fire and recent Easter Cup champion Lemon Orla set to line-up against each other in the opening round.

Throw in five of the six finalists from the Suncroft Festival Puppy Oaks, Derby finalist Magical Mag, the exciting Ballymac Kamala and so many more and it really is a top-class entry. The full form will be live soon and can be found in Upcoming cards.
